FAQs

Health & Safety

If you are feeling unwell, are on antibiotics, are prepping for surgery it is advised to consult your artist before your tattoo in case you need to reschedule

  • We strive to use the highest quality medical and tattoo supplies. It is important to disclose any allergies in your paperwork.

  • We strive to be a safe place and value your comfort. We will do our best to accommodate any requests to make your experience the best it can be.

  • Covid policy:

    • We ask that if you have had a Covid exposure, tested positive for Covid, or are feeling generally unwell that you reschedule your appointment at a later date. This is to stop the spread of illness, but also because we don’t want you to be immunocompromised. We want your tattoo to heal as well as possible.

    • We currently do not require our clients to wear a mask or to provide proof of vaccination. We encourage mask wearing if that makes you more comfortable.

    • Our artists may be wearing a mask depending on their own comfort and their awareness of local surges in Covid numbers. If you would like your artist to wear a mask we are very happy to accomodate your request.

What’s the appointment process?

Just follow these simple steps:

  • Fill out the tattoo booking form

  • You will do an email consultation to go over the details of your tattoo

  • Once the artist feels they understand the scale of the project and how long it will take they will give you appointment times until you agree on a date.

  • Arrive to your appointment at the agreed time.

What is the cost?

The shop minimum price is $75. Every artist in the studio prices work based on an hourly rate.

  • Ricky: $150/hour

  • Bee: $125/hour

  • Eden: $100/hour

How do I prepare for my appointment?

The biggest thing is to keep your body comfortable. Get a good night’s sleep, stay hydrated, eat a good meal before your appointment. You can bring a hoodie in case you get cold. Some people also like using stress balls or fidget toys.

  • Avoid excess drinking the night before.

  • You do not need to shave your chosen tattoo location before your appointment. We prefer to do it to make sure to avoid razor burn.

Do I need to bring anything to my appointment?

You must bring a valid state ID.

What is the best way to get ahold of my artist?

The best way is to send an email to info@feverdreamtattoo.com and we will pass it along to your artist.

Where is your shop located?

We are located at 1129 5th Ave S in Fargo! It is a beautiful gray house with white pillars on the corner of University and 5th Ave S. We are upstairs on the second floor of our building— please enter through the door that faces the parking lot behind the house and head all the way upstairs! There will be signs to guide you.

Can I bring a guest?

Yes! We don’t always have a lot of room in the procedure rooms, but we can usually accommodate one guest. Anyone in addition to that can hang out in our waiting room if we lack the space. We ask that any guests driving separately park on the street as we only have four assigned parking spots that are reserved for clients.

I’m under 18, can I get a tattoo?

Unfortunately, we do not allow anyone under 18 to be in the studio. We do not tattoo minors even with parental consent.

Can I get tattooed while pregnant?

No, we will not tattoo pregnant people.

Can I get tattooed while nursing?

We will tattoo you while nursing if you provide a doctor’s note.

Can I get tattooed on antibiotics?

No. Your body is immunocompromised and it may affect the healing process.

Can I get tattooed over a bruise?

It is generally not recommended. If you have a bruise in the area of your desired tattoo location, please send a photo prior to the appointment.

Can I get tattooed over a sunburn?

No. If you have a sunburn we will need to reschedule.

Do you do piercings?

We do not currently have a piercer.

What does normal tattoo healing look like?

Your tattoo is a wound and you must treat it as such. During the first three days it is still an open wound. If you get the Derm Shield bandage it will most likely fill with some liquid. This is excess blood, ink, and plasma, and it is perfectly normal. Your tattoo will then go through a peeling phase and an itchy phase. The healing process looks a lot like a healing sunburn. The peeling sometimes looks like your tattoo is “falling off” but it is perfectly normal. The ink will still be there. If you experience excessive swelling, redness, or pain please send us a photo of your tattoo. If in doubt, it is always advised to seek medical attention.

Do you do walk in appointments?

We do not do walk ins or same day appointments. Our hours are by appointment only. You must book an appointment prior to coming to the shop.
